Shawn painted the 9-11 painting right after the tragedy as an expression of what most of us felt: hope in the shadow of sadness, sorrow and despair. The 7 foot by 4 foot painting is now displayed close by the newly- built Pentagon chapel.

On a lighter note, Shawn's "Moo River" was one of many whimsical cows painted by San Antonio artists for the Cancer Society's fund raising event. The cows were on public display throughout the city before being auctioned off to the fun-loving public.
