Entry Level Reception Area

Between May 5, 2005 and April 4, 2006 Shawn Bridges spent every week day on a labor of love transforming the Children’s Building at Trinity Baptist Church into Noah’s Ark (first floor hallways and the three story rotunda) and creating a visual journey through Old and New Testament bible stories (second floor).

The modern day Noah’s Ark carries 500 life size animals.  And that does not count the myriad insects, rodents and other small creatures hidden and lurking about the entire population.  The upstairs hallway walls are adorned with life size bible characters depicting twenty one bible stories.

Shawn painted approximately 10,000 square feet of wall space using an estimated ninety three gallons of paint.  She hid more than eighty scripture verses throughout the project.  Searching for these hidden gems will occupy children for years.
